I love going to the cinema, so one day I asked my family to go. Carola went with me, and when we got there she insisted so much in watching “Nightmare Before Christmas 3D” that we finished watching it.
We liked it very much, it was really funny to see the effects and we could understand all because the argument was the same than the other one, so I passed a nice evening in the cinema with my family.

TV in EEUU is very different from Spain. They watch it a lot. They have too many channels, ones for sports, others for Tv shows, quests, serials, movies…
You can almost choose what you want to see in every moment, because there is always something on TV. Besides, advertisment takes only 1 minute!! You don’t have to find something to do for 10 minutes before the programme starts again. I love it!
What I liked watching the most was House and Grey’s Anatomy. They were advanced, and if you lose anypart, the TV records it and you can come back, so I had some good time in front of it =D

On 18th we went to see the Boston Celtics in Boston. It’s the Boston Basketball team and it played against the New York Knicks. You’ll never guess how my face looked like when I saw the estadium. I though it was more prepared for a spectacle than for a basketball match. I was amazed. Many people was dressed like their team and there was an athmosfere of excitement.Boston Celtics won, of course, but for me was more important to see the whole place than the results.
Bye

Here sports are very important. Everybody at the High School plays any sport. I think is logical, because they must waste all the fast food they eat…
Fortunately they have their teams in the high School, so the schedule is not bad for anyone, they don’t have to move to other place, and they have all the varities of sports for boys and girls.I think that is better than here.
Besides, they don’t have much homework to do, so playing a sport don’t take any study time, and that’s really good.
They always have competitions, that’s the reason why they must practice everyday.
I’d like to do so.

Last day in New York!
We got up really early, but because of that we arrived very early to see the Liberty Statue. It was a very warm day, like a summer one, so I had a nice time walking on the island and in the boat ride.
After that we went to the MOMA , the Museum of Modern Art. Our guide showed us some pictures and then we went on our own to see them. I found very weird ones.
I really didn’t want to leave New York, I’d like to have spent a week or so, but, it wasn’t possible.
I’m willing to go back someday!!!

I love New York City!!
We had to get up very early on Sunday because there were much time to New York, but when we got there, we couldn’t help our excitement and we started making photos from the bus!!
We went on a tour by bus with a guide and we stopped in many places to see them well, like Central Park, Empire State, Chinatown…
After that we cheked in the hotel, and we prepared ourselves for the Mary Poppins play in the teathre, but I didn’t understand a lot what they were saying.
And then we had plenty of time to go shopping!!! Times Square is so nice at night!
It was sad when we had to leave!!

On Saturday 20th we had a Halloween’s party, Spanish students and our hosts. We got there at 7, everyone with our costumes and we danced, ate, and we made our Halloween’s pumpkin!! We put them with their candles and we chose the best one. It was very funny.I dressed like a vampire, although my costume was not very good but, it was only for a day!

Halloween is a very famous party here. For a whole month houses are decorated and people look for their costumes for the party.
It’s really nice to go walking and seeing how each house has it’s own decoration, and all shops has Halloween’s costumes and advertising hallowen.

A typical thing of this is to decorate pumpkings. The upside part of it it’s opened with a knike and the inside must be well cleaned. Then you can cut a funny face on it, you put a candle in it, and it’s another thing that decores your house for Halloween.
Everybody is willing Halloween, I wish we could stay for for it but at least we will have our own Halloween’s party!!
See you!
